Are we a good fit for you?

New Patient Checklist

Ensure Pediatric Care aligns with your family's medical philosophies by assessing our approach to care, communication style, and commitment to shared decision-making. Confirm our office environment is welcoming and our emergency procedures meet your expectations. Lastly, seek feedback from other families to gauge community reputation and ensure a mutual fit for a rewarding healthcare relationship.

Pediatric Care is a strong proponent of vaccines as the best and safest way to protect your child from preventable illness.  As part of our commitment to protecting public health, we only accept new patients who have chosen to vaccinate their children.  We recommend vaccines based on the immunization schedule put forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics, but work with each family to determine the schedule that works in their individual circumstance.

At Pediatric Care, we are committed to avoiding the overuse of antibiotics. We take time to educate families about the proper use of antibiotics and adhere to evidence-based guidelines, rather than automatically prescribing them. Additionally, we do not routinely prescribe antibiotics over the phone, as we believe that in-person evaluation is crucial for providing the best care. Antibiotics are only prescribed when we determine they are the most appropriate treatment for the condition.

Pediatric Care is dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical services and serving as your patient-centered medical home. To ensure coordinated care, we ask that you contact our office before seeking specialty care or urgent care. Our goal is to either provide care within our office when suitable or refer you to the appropriate specialist while helping to manage your care. If you do visit a specialist, we kindly request that a report be sent directly to our office so that we can stay informed and maintain the most up-to-date information in your medical records.

Our practice takes pride in enhancing efficiency through the use of technology. We encourage all patients to visit our website, register for and utilize our patient portal, and take advantage of automated reminders for appointments and upcoming routine care or immunizations. These tools help streamline communication and ensure that you stay on top of your healthcare needs.

Both locations are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday hours are available at our West Chester office from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Both offices are at lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

After hours, you can speak with someone from our answering service, who will page the on-call provider. The provider will then return your call at the number you provide.

We take many insurance plans. It is always a good idea to contact your individual insurance carrier to see if Pediatric Care, Inc. is listed under their plan. You may also call our billing department at 513-728-4763 to verify that we are part of your plan.

Insurance copays and deductibles are expected to be paid at the time of service. If you are unable to make the payment at that time, please contact our billing department before your visit to discuss alternative arrangements.

We see both well and sick children every day. We encourage you to schedule well visits as soon as possible, especially summer check-ups. This enables you to have your preference of provider, day, and time of appointment.

It is our policy to see all ill children the same day if needed. We ask that you call as early as possible that day, to ensure that we will have adequate time to see everyone.

We do not encourage walk-ins. In an ongoing effort to honor scheduled appointment times, the providers at Pediatric Care, Inc. have developed a policy regarding walk-in patient encounters. Patients who come to the office without a scheduled appointment will be offered the following:

  • A same-day appointment with the first available provider
  • A different-day appointment with a specific provider

All insured and non-insured patients may be charged a $50 “no-show” fee on the second and third missed appointments and dismissal from the practice may result after a subsequent no-show.

When possible, we require cancellations to be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. All cancellations made with less than a 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Missed appointments will be handled according to the following Missed Appointment Policy.

Flu vaccines are now available. Please call the Finneytown or West Chester offices to schedule.
